'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Season 5 Spoiler: 'Prison Break' Actor Guest Stars In Episode 2

Jail time for Jake (Andy Samberg) just got more interesting on "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" on FOX. Could a "Prison Break" actor be a key to his release?

According to Entertainment Weekly, Paul Adelstein, who played Agent Paul Kellerman on "Prison Break," will guest star in the FOX comedy series. The actor will play Seamus Murphy, a crime boss, who has some information for the Nine-Nine squad about an important case.

Adelstein's appearance will air in the second episode of the upcoming season. However, it doesn't seem like this is a one-off guest stint and his character might return for more episodes.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 5 will open with Jake having a difficult time in prison with his crazy cellmate Caleb (guest Tim Meadows). To survive this environment, Jake will try to align with one of the toughest criminals for his own protection.

Jake has been locked up for a few months after being framed for robbery with Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz). She, on the other hand, will have an easier time at the women's prison and will actually enjoy her solitude. She will even involve Capt. Holt (Andre Braugher) and Sgt. Terry (Terry Crews) for special favors outside.

Meanwhile, the squad will work double time to find more evidence to prove that Jake and Rosa are not supposed to be in prison. To do that, they have to follow up on the bad cop Hawkins (guest Gina Gershon) who was responsible for putting Nine-Nine's best people behind bars during the finale of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 4.

Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio) will have a hard time coping with life while his best friend and partner struggles in prison. Stress will get the better of Boyle and he will dye his hair blond to cover up his graying hair.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 5 will premiere episode 1 "The Big House Part 1" on Tuesday, Sept. 26, at 9:30 p.m. EST on FOX. The second part will air the following Tuesday, Oct. 3.
