'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Season 5 Spoilers: The Precinct Holds Their Annual Halloween Heist

The upcoming episode of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 5 will see the gang once again taking part in their annual Halloween heist.

The synopsis of the next episode, titled "HalloVeen," states that the fifth Halloween heist in a row will have everyone at each other's throats. This time around, each Nine-Nine member has a plan of their own. Since they have until midnight to become the ultimate winner and receive the title of "Amazing Human Slash Genius," relationships and friendships will be put to the test.

For the past four years of the Halloween heist, no one has won twice. Jake (Andy Samberg) won the very first heist, and Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) took the title in the second year. During the third heist, Amy (Melissa Fumero) was left out of the game, motivating her to win it all. Finally, the fourth year saw Gina (Chelsea Peretti) outwitting everyone and taking home the prize.

A teaser trailer for the new episode has also been released. It opens with a distraction someone has set up to confuse everyone else, which has become sort of a staple during Halloween at the Nine-Nine. Countless women dressed as handmaids from "The Handmaid's Tale" make their way through the precinct. Holt runs out of the place, screaming, though it remains to be seen what could have caused him to lose it. The final scene shows Holt entering the precinct looking for his dog, Cheddar. Terry (Terry Crews) points out that he came in with it, but Holt says that it is not Cheddar at all.

Fans are happy to see Jake back at the Nine-Nine after spending the first two episodes behind bars. The previous episode, titled "Kicks," saw Jake return to the field even though Holt did not think he was ready. By the end of the installment, Jake agreed with Holt that he needed a desk job, at least for the time being because he had not fully recovered from the trauma of being in prison.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 5 airs Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. EDT on FOX.
