'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Season 5 Spoilers: The Team Sets Out to Prove Hawkins' Guilt; Jake Struggles With His Loyalties

The upcoming episode of "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 5 will see the team working together to prove that Jake (Andy Samberg) and Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) are innocent.

The synopsis for the new episode, which was titled "The Big House Pt. 2," stated that Amy (Melissa Fumero) will encounter a local mobster who may be the key to getting Jake and Rosa out of prison. The mobster will offer to help prove that Hawkins (Gina Gershon) was behind the bank robberies and only framed the two detectives. However, it remains to be seen whether Amy's mobster contact will be of much use, as Holt (Andre Braugher) will have a more secure plan in mind.

Meanwhile, Jake will try to juggle his allegiances in prison. He promised both the warden (Toby Huss) and Romero (Lou Diamond Phillips) that he would be loyal to them, but it is only a matter of time before one of them finds out the truth. Jake will turn to his cannibal cellmate Caleb (Tim Meadows) for help.

A teaser trailer for the next episode has also been released. The clip does not reveal much about the upcoming episode, though it does feature Terry (Terry Crews) toasting the Nine-Nine with Holt next to him. This could suggest that the team will be successful in their pursuit to clear Jake and Rosa's names.

Elsewhere in the teaser, Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio) still rocked his new hair color and a police team burst into a dark room with their weapons drawn. Jake was also seen asking Caleb for assistance, though he made it clear to his cannibal cellmate that they were not really close enough to be considered friends.

Fans are definitely looking forward to seeing Jake and Rosa back at the precinct. The season 4 finale saw them being deemed guilty for robbing a bank--something that dirty cop Hawkins had planned all along.

"Brooklyn Nine-Nine" season 5 airs Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. EDT on FOX.
