'Buffy the Vampire Slayer' Season 11 to Happen This Fall: Cast, Release Date, What We Know So Far
It has been 13 years since Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and the Scoobies saved Sunnydale from annihilation. After the long wait since the 10th season ended, Dark Horse Comics announced that "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" season 11 will premiere this fall.
Before this big announcement happened for the TV series, Dark House comics actually picked up the story right after the events at Hellmouth in the finale.
Previously, Buffy the Vampire Slayer had a 40-issue run for the eighth season and the ninth season was a 25-issue run.

What We Know So Far
Buffy and the Scoobies will live in San Francisco as season 11 premieres. Furthermore, Giles (Anthony Head) will still be a 13-year-old, and Buffy will continue to be in her mid-20s. On the other hand, Buffy and Spike (James Marsters) will try as much as possible to keep their relationship normal as the world is still aware of the supernatural existence.
In a recent report, Christos Gage stated that Spike will be more mature as he continues being in a normal relationship and being one of the good guys. Willow (Alyson Haniggan), on the other hand, will be a leader of the Wiccan community. This position will bring a lot of fulfillment to her as well as new challenges.
New characters will be added to the 11th season, and this includes a new slayer by the name of Morgan. It remains to be seen if Morgan will become and ally, an enemy or both. Gage also added that Andrew (Tom Lenk) will not be around so much in this season but will be the smartest of the bunch, and Harmony (Mercedes McNab) will still show up.
"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" season 11 has been made with more intensity, and this world-changing season will provide Buffy and the Scoobies more challenges to face. The challenges that they will encounter are the ones that they have not yet encountered before.
Additionally, the 11th season will be shorter but more epic and will present the greatest challenges of the series. Aside from having new character added to the new season, the original characters still remains to be part of the series.
The production will include aside from Christos Gage as the writer are Rebekah Isaacs as the artist and Whedon as an executive producer of the series. The long wait will be over since "Buffy and the Vampire Slayer" will premiere on Nov. 23, 2016.
