Bungie Adds New Map for 'Destiny 2' PvP Competitive Playlist
A new map has been added by Bungie into the Competitive playlist for Crucible in its online-only multiplayer first-person shooter, "Destiny 2."
According to Video Gamer, the map called Eternity, which first made its appearance in the Trials of the Nine event, is now available in the game's Competitive mode. The screenshot released by Bungie showed a strange blue platform that reportedly gives the same vibe as Hello Games' "No Man's Sky."
Competitive is considered one of the more intense PvP modes in Crucible. It currently includes the Countdown and Survival modes. Countdown is an objective mode based on round-based attack and defense, while Survival is Team Deathmatch but with limited respawning each round.

At the moment, Eternity is only available in the Competitive playlist, but Bungie may be planning to include it in Quickplay soon. There are also speculations that it may be the next Trials map. GamingBolt reported that Eternity is another post-launch map just like Emperor's Respite and it may not be the last. Bungie may reportedly be planning to add more content to the playlist since the game developer recently admitted that they were not completely satisfied with the "Destiny 2's" PvP.
Just this month, Competitive ran into some issues. Most of the problems centered on too many players getting outmatched by opponents in unfair battles. Bungie said they have been working to solve the setback. They also added that Crucible would have more updates to improve the game's "state of combat."
"If you've been having fun in Quickplay, nothing has changed. Game on. If you've been getting your ass kicked in Competitive, you'll have more of a fighting chance," Bungie explained. "If you've been kicking a** in Competitive, we're sending some worthier opponents your way."
The developer added: "It adapts to the way you play, so this won't be the last update we apply to the state of combat."
