Bungie Hosting 'Taken King' Livestream Before DLC Release – How to Watch
As if to convince more gamers to part with their hard-earned $40 for "Destiny's" next expansion pack "The Taken King," game developer Bungie will be hosting a series of livestream video sessions starting next week to give gamers a taste of what's in store for them on Sept. 15.
"The Taken King" is the last expansion pack of the video game "Destiny," and will be released for all platforms on the mentioned date. This is not the first time that Bungie has hosted such livestreams, having done the same before it released "The House Wolves" expansion last May.
According to a report in Game Spot, the livestream will be accessible starting Aug. 19. Entitled "Destiny Year Two," those who want to watch it can head to Bungie's Twitch channel. Broadcast will begin at 11 AM PDT or 2 PM EDT, which will be hosted by Mark Noseworthy, executive producer with senior lead designer Tyson Green. The first livestream will discuss "how player achievements in the game's first year will carry over to year two." The following questions will be addressed during the first broadcast:
- "What will your Guardian's lifestyle be like in the new and improved Tower?
- How will your Guardian become a more powerful snowflake over the course of your next journey?
- Is it true that Character Level and Light will rise in exciting new ways?"
Exactly a week after, another livestream will happen on August 25 with the title "Strike the Dreadnaught." Beginning at the same times as the first livestream, this second one will be hosted by another lead designer James Tsai and Mr. Fruit, a known community member. This particular livestream will feature actual gameplay of a new Strike, according to the report. It will also explain what exactly is "the Dreadnaught" and how boss battles will be different in the expansion pack.
The final livestream will be held a week after on Sept. 2, also at the same times. This last one is called "Court of Oryx." Hosted by another lead designer Ben Wommack, creative director Luke Smith and another community member Laced Up Lauren, this broadcast "is expected to dive into the 'mysteries [that] lie in wait within the cavernous hull of the Dreadnaught.'" It will tackle the "challenges and rewards" for Guardians who decide to go on board the Dreadnaught.
