Bungie's 'Destiny' Gets Last Content Update on March 28
Bungie has just announced that it will be releasing its last content patch for "Destiny," and it will be launching on Tuesday, March 28.
The next content extension for Bungie's shooter massively multiplayer online (MMO) game will be titled "Age of Triumph," and it will be one last update for fans of "Destiny" before the company moves on to the successor of their MMO franchise, according to Engadget.
The new expansion is one long trip through memory lane for players who have been playing the game since its launch way back in September 2014. The expansion "Age of Triumph" will reopen old raids after boosting them to the current end-game level, and old enemies in familiar environments are once again ready to greet "Destiny" fans for one last victory lap.

All the classic raids, from the first "Destiny" areas to all the new dungeons added with every expansion — "The Dark Below," "The Taken King" and "Rise of Iron" — will be back and re-tuned to a 390 Light Level difficulty. Fan-favorite "Vault of Glass" will be open for one last time, along with other raids for players still earning their achievements.
The legacy raids will not reactivate all at once, however. "Crota's End" will be featured in the first week, followed by "Vault of Glass" in week two. "King's Fall" and "Wrath of the Machine" will follow in the third and fourth weeks. As each revamped raid goes live, they will stay playable for players that want to return to them again.
The "Destiny 2" sequel is expected to arrive this fall, according to Polygon. Bungie has already made clear that only the appearance of Guardian characters will be carried over — Light level, weapons, armor and Eververse items will be left behind.
"Destiny 1," however, will not be retired when the sequel launches. "Destiny 1 is not going away," said Bungie's Community Manager David Dague. "Destiny 1 is a game that we fully intend to keep online for the foreseeable future."
