Burger Kings Unveils Angriest Whopper Burger; Comes with Red Bun, Hot Sauce and More

Burger King customers will now be seeing something red in the menu as the American global hamburger fast food restaurant unveiled their newest product dubbed as the "Angriest Whopper." It follows last fall's A.1. Halloween Whopper which had a black bun and the Angry Whopper which was a hit to many customers. This time, the Angriest Whopper will have a red bun and as reported in USA Today, it's a new take on the Angry Whopper sandwich.

"The black bun of our A.1. Halloween Whopper created a lot of conversation and our previous limited time Angry Whopper sandwich was a hit with guests," Global Chief Marketing Officer Axel Schwan said in a statement as noted in NJ.com.

Those who are fond of eating hot and spicy foods will particularly love this one as the red-bun burger will be baked with hot sauce into it, as noted in Adage. In between the buns will be a flame-grilled beef topped with thick-cut bacon, American cheese tomatoes, and iceberg lettuce. It will also have flaming onion petals, creamy mayonnaise, jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, and sesame seeds sprinkled on top of the bun.

Time detailed that it will cost anywhere from $5.49 and $ 7.49. Burger King also spoke about their new product in a news release wherein the company stated that they are certain the Angriest Whopper will disprove the commonly held belief that "a sequel is never as good as the original."

"We're combining the power of these past hits into a star-studded sandwich we think our guests will unanimously agree is the next must-eat burger," Burger King remarked as noted in WishTV.

As for the public's reaction to the fiery-looking burger, many voiced out via social media. The new product gained mixed reactions with many pointing out the fecal-changing properties that it may have similar to the black-bun edition which incited lots of attention after many reported green-colored waste following consumption.
