PC players looking forward to the release of "Call of Duty: WWII" can start pre-downloading the Multiplayer Open Beta of the game in preparation for its upcoming testing later this week.

Starting on Wednesday until Sept. 28, PC players can pre-download the Multiplayer Open Beta for "Call of Duty: WWII" on PC on Steam through this link.

In a statement posted on Steam, game developer Sledgehammer Games said: "We're less than a week away from the PC Open Beta for Call of Duty: WWII on Steam. The response from our Beta announcement continues to energize the development teams, and we can't wait to get going on September 29th!"

Like for other games, the developers are looking to make some contents of the title's Multiplayer gameplay available so players can sample them and provide feedback on what areas the creators need to enhance or fix.

"Your feedback will continue to help us shape the final Multiplayer experience for PC players, so share as much as you can. We're looking forward to keeping up the constructive dialogue," the developers added.

During the beta testing, developers will offer four multiplayer maps including Pointe du Hoc, Ardennes Forest, Gibraltar and Aachen. Meanwhile, players can also access the game's War mode called Operation Breakout.

This weekend, players can also sample four different multiplayer game modes namely Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint and Kill Confirmed. Everyone can also get a feel of all the Divisions to be introduced in the game including Infantry, Expeditionary, Airborne, Armored, and Mountain Division.

The developers confirmed that there are no restrictions in joining any Divisions. So, as long as the Open Beta is live, players can try them all.

Sledgehammer Games also maintained that they have put much effort in enhancing the gameplay experience for the title's PC version since most of these rigs are far more capable of handling heavy graphics and visuals compared to the technical specifications found on consoles.

However, the developers advised PC players: "For this reason, we have disabled Aim Assist during the PC Open Beta."

Some of the key minimum PC system requirements for the Multiplayer Open Beta stage are: Windows 7 or a later operating system as long as it is 64-bit, an Intel Core i3 3225 or better, 8 GB RAM, 25 GB free disk space, and a graphics processing unit with the same power as the Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 or better.

Then after a month, "Call of Duty: WWII" will be released on Nov. 3.
