'Call of Duty: WWII' Rumors: Data-miner May Have Already Discovered Which Multiplayer Maps Will Be Available at Launch
Data-miner claims to have unearthed the new findings via the open beta
"Call of Duty: WWII" will finally hit stores next month, though it looks like fans may not even have to wait until then to find out which maps are going to be made accessible to them come launch day.
Over on Reddit, an individual who goes by the username "trevormine" shared some interesting screenshots.
Apparently, these screenshots were taken from some bugged menus that the Redditor got to through the open beta.
Many of the screenshots featured interesting bits of information, but there was one in particular that may catch the eye of multiplayer enthusiasts.
One of the screenshots seemed to show the map select screen for the game's multiplayer mode.
There are 10 maps that players can choose from, according to the screenshot.
Some of the maps shown already have proper names, and players may even be familiar with them. The named maps are Aachen, Ardennes Forest, Flak Tower, Gibraltar and Pointe du Hoc.
Interestingly enough, there are five other maps that are seemingly still in the works, or at the very least have not been given proper names just yet.
One map will apparently feature a battleship of some kind while another is intriguingly labeled as "CANNON_FARM." There may also be additional "Call of Duty: WWII" multiplayer maps set in France and London. The last of the not properly named multiplayer maps is labeled "CARENTAN."
Upon seeing the post, some Redditors have expressed their disappointment over the possibility that only 10 multiplayer maps were going to be made available at launch.
Thus far, developers have yet to confirm how many multiplayer maps are indeed going to be offered on launch day, though those details should be shared soon enough.
Beyond the launch day maps, there may also be additional ones released post-launch as downloadable content.
"Call of Duty: WWII" is set to be released on Nov. 3.
