'Call of Duty:Black Ops 3' opens up for all PS4 players
A great weekend ahead for fans of "Call of Duty:Black Ops 3", it has opened up for all PS4 players and many of them are already shooting through the "Black Ops 3 beta". More thrill for fans as Treyarch, the game developer of the "Call of Duty" series, is aiming for the multiplayer space with the introduction of nine brand new specialists this year.
Before it was opened up for PS4 players, the game was available only for those who had pre-ordered it or had gotten a code. Treyarch announced the "Black Ops 3 beta" through its Twitter platform. The Beta will be available until August 23. Xbox One and PC players, meanwhile, can play on August 26 to August 30. The beta is not coming to Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3.
The beta released features seven maps and three modes. More will be added in the final version. Players get to try out Black Ops III's new movement system using eight different "Specialist" characters. They can also customize their weapons using Black Ops III's weapon customization tools. This includes the 'Paintshop'.
Activision hasn't had a good running these past two years. It's "Ghosts" and "Advanced Warfare" did not crank up the company's sales figures. Now, with a tie-up with Sony, Activision hopes to regain lost ground. With this tie-up, Sony is getting first lead for its PS4 players.
About the game, there is not much change to the mode of playing. The difference is in the movement. You can no longer jet-dodge in every direction. This gets into a totally new dynamics of movement and combat, though you still have a jetpack to do those lengthy double jumps.
The other style offered is the Titanfall-style of wall-running in many of the maps and some areas are only accessible by doing just this. Other charge-up moves include one-kill hit weapons and a whole lot of defensive suite of ultimates.
The full version of Black Ops III is set for release on November 6.
