"Call the Midwife" season 5 episode 2 will see Barbara encountering a difficult bump in her career, based on the latest synopsis for the BBC series.
In the first episode of "Call the Midwife" season 5, the Nonnatus House's midwives helped Rhoda Mullucks (Liz White) deliver her third child. However, Rhoda's husband Bernie (Chris Reilly) refused to accept the baby when they found out that the child was seriously deformed, and he said he will not allow the child to enter their house, according to Christian Today.
The premiere was mostly all about the ongoing changes, including Trixie's (Helen George) effort to balance her midwife duties and her career as a part-time fitness instructor. For her, this is her way to drop her alcohol habits, but her decision only gave the nursing convent another problem.
In episode 2, the nuns and midwives will encounter new dilemmas at the Poplar nursing convent, Carter Matt reports.
