Capcom And Beeline Run Ad for New Ghostbusters iPhone Game Beta Testers
Capcom and Beeline have just announced they are looking for beta testers to go through their latest collaborative title, which is a new "Ghostbusters" game being developed for iPhone.
Based on the classic 1980s film, Japanese game developer Capcom its partner, Beeline Interactive, are currently working on a new "Ghostbusters" game for iPhone and are calling on interested gamer volunteers to participate in their beta testing program.
Whether the game's launch will coincide with the either of the two "Ghostbusters" film sequels in mid-2016 has not yet been announced. Beeline's online ad seeking beta testers does not contain much information other than invite interested players to take a survey to qualify:
"Beeline is looking for a few folks to participate in a beta test for an upcoming Ghostbusters iPhone game. If you're interested please complete the following survey," the ad reads.
The survey requires volunteers to input their basic information, including their age, gender, education, employment status, and mobile game habits.
The upcoming ghost fighting iOS game won't be the first time the game genre has borrowed from the popular '80s sci-fi flick. A "Ghostbusters" pinball application was launched for iOS devices last October, which followed shooter game, "Respawnables," which recently released updates for the app containing "Ghostbusters" content.
Beeline also has a previous free tower defense "Ghostbusters" game on the Apple App Store, as well.
Online game reviewer and iOS gaming site TouchArcade speculates Beeline's putting out an ad for beta testers may point toward the new "Ghostbusters" game being a freemium title.
Details of the upcoming Capcom and Beeline "Ghostbusters" collaboration have yet to be revealed, including the possibility of a tie-in with the all-male and all-female versions of the sequel.
