Capcom Brings Back 'Street Fighter V" Beta

Capcom brought back "Street Fighter V" beta recently, extending it for a longer period for further testing.

"Street Fighter V" beta just made a return trip last Thursday, with developer Capcom extending the period to test the game out in other territories for larger gamer participation.

This current beta has been put back online to check the game's internal stress levels on multiplayer mode before it is officially released for PC and PlayStation 4 next year.

While the open beta began August 20 from 4pm to 12am BST, Capcom held a second closed beta the following day between 4pm and 12am BST.

Based on the results of the European test, Capcom will be making the necessary adjustments and begin preparations for the North American, Asian, and other global territories tests.

Capcom stated on its website they plan to complete a stress test per region in North America and Asia, followed by an announcement of the dates and times for their official global beta testing phase.

"Street Fighter V" fans will be getting extra play time as a result of the extended beta testing. The regional tests will not be forming part of the five-day global beta testing, which means Capcom will first be concluding the regional tests to determine which parts of the game need adjustment, then proceed to host the week-long global beta testing for PS 4 consoles.

Another round of beta testing is planned for PC and PS 4 before the year ends, way before the game launches on Q1 2016.

With intense beta testing up ahead, Capcom appears intent on perfecting the upcoming game's multiplayer aspects, after its original beta crashed and burned last month after users overloaded the testing.

"Street Fighter V," the fifth main installment in Capcom's "Street Fighter" video game franchise, is scheduled for a March 2016 release for PC and PlayStation 4.
