'Captain America: Civil War' News: Guessing Game on Who Dies in the Movie Continues

Many hardcore Marvel fans know that Captain America dies in the comic book version of "Civil War." This doesn't mean, though, that the same thing will happen in "Captain America: Civil War" as Marvel does not really stick to the comic versions of the stories that they adapt into the movies. With Chris Evans, who plays the titular role in Captain America: Civil War," confirming that not all the heroes gathered in the movie are going to make it alive, the fans are now find themselves in a guessing game as to who will meet his demise in the upcoming Marvel film.

Apart from suspecting Captain America, there are also fans who believe that it will be Iron Man who will die instead. According to Inquisitr, should this be possible, it can possibly arise from Tony Stark no longer owning the technology that makes up the Iron Man suit after it is passed to the new U.S. government which will use it for the replacement of S.H.I.E.L.D.

Inquisitr opined, though, that it is unlikely for Iron Man to die in "Captain America: Civil War." As the antagonist in the movie, there is a slim possibility for his character to be eliminated from the story as Marvel will still need him for "future use."

However, the choices of the fans as to who will not survive the war between the group of superheroes are not only limited to Captain America and Iron Man. Basing on the released trailer for the movie, James Rhodes is seriously injured. With this, some fans believe that it is this character who will meet his demise in the movie.

Nonetheless, many still believe that the movie will feature the death of Captain America as it will pave the way for Bucky Barnes to have a bigger role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, who will eventually become the new Captain America, just like in the comic books.

"In Civil War, we're going to change the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Psychology, and it's an extreme shift. Winter Soldier was a political thriller; this is a psychological thriller. [There's a] very dramatic ending that will be controversial for a lot of people," said the Joe and Anthony Russo, who are directing "Captain America: Civil War."

"Captain America: Civil War" hits the theaters on May 6.
