'Captain America: Civil War' News: New Cast Members Explored

Seven months into the premiere of "Captain America: Civil War," fans are already being treated to scoops such as new actors joining the cast, including the amazing Martin Freeman.

While the mighty Thor and the great, big Hulk are the only notable heroes who won't be appearing in "Civil War," production has confirmed that there will be other characters to join the huge superhero battle. According to What Culture, one of the newest additions is the celebrated Martin Freeman, whose portrayals in "Sherlock" and "The Hobbit" have gained him respect among other Hollywood stars.

Gene Farber will be playing Vasily Karpov in the movie. His character's significance in the movie is not yet announced, but comic book fans know him as the ruthless guy who helped the Captain in a mission against Red Skull.

A rather shocking addition to the cast that resulted to some fans doubting production's decisions is when they announced that Marisa Tomei will be cast as Aunt May. Everyone knows the beloved aunt of Spider-Man as an elderly lady, and with Tomei's coming, some fans think it might not work since she might not pull off how the previous Aunt May successfully portrayed a beloved and caring old lady.

On the other hand, some fans believe that Tomei is still an amazing actress since she has won an Oscar and two nominations. Pro-Tomei fans think that production's choice to bring in a younger Aunt May in Tomei is actually interesting and might be a twist that the audience will love, especially since Tomei's Aunt May wouldn't have to struggle over Uncle Ben's untimely death.

Soon to grace the big screens with his solo movie, The Black Panther will be joining Tony Stark in his cause against Captain America. Chadwick Boseman has been chosen for the role. and many believe that he will most probably give the character justice, citing his performance in "Get On Up."

Finally, there's Daniel Brühl, who will be seen in the movie with a new look — minus the epic mask that Baron Zemo is known of in the comic books, as reported by Business Insider. While it is unclear as to why Brühl won't be putting his mask on, fans of the "Rush" star are looking forward to how he will pull off the iconic role of one of Captain America's biggest enemies.

"Captain America: Civil War" is scheduled for release on May 6, 2016.
