'Captain America: Civil War' release date, latest news: Sebastian Stan talks Bucky and fierce fight scenes

While comic book lovers know very well that Bucky Barnes has been freed from the bonds of Hydra, the good friend of "Cap" is still not himself. However, Bucky seems to pick up the pieces of his hero history as he appears in "Civil War" as a member of "Team Captain America."

In a recent interview with We Got This Covered, Bucky himself, Sebastian Stan, talked about the possibilities that Marvel could offer to his character.

When asked if he was interested in reviving the original comic book version wherein Bucky takes over the Cap's shield and position, Stan said, "I really enjoy my job over there, I'm really happy going to work and doing what I do. I love the character that I have," adding that if Marvel decides to give the comic book version a big screen shot, then he would go for it.

Marvel has not released the details of its plans for Bucky once the Civil War is over, but since Stan is still on a lineup for his original nine-picture contract, fans will surely see a lot of him in the future Marvel Cinematic Universe films.

Originally, Steve Rogers dies at the end of the war and Bucky inherits his best pal's post, serving as Captain America. Even after Rogers made a comeback, Bucky continued to take on the shield and only let go of his post when he faked his death in the "Fear Itself" mini-series. It was then that the former Cap took over the role of the "Winter Soldier" full time.

As any other superhero movie, Stan said in the interview that fans will likely see "brutal fighting, some serious, serious fighting like you haven't really seen before in any of the other films."

Stan went on to say that he is really proud of what the movie has become after he saw "a whole lot of character" and heart in the people with whom he worked with.

Captain America: Civil War comes to the big screen in the United States on May 6, 2016.
