'Captain America: Civil War' plot news: Teams revealed
The long-awaited reveal of the teams for "Captain America: Civil War" has finally been released.
High-resolution artworks of Captain America: Civil War have been circulating the web due to YouTube user MrSundayMovies. The photos showed characters in their new costumes standing along their side of the fight. While the official teams have not yet been officially stated by Marvel, the photo confirmed several rumors concerning the sides of the various characters. The movie will focus around the fight between Captain America, also known as Steve Rogers, and Iron Man, also known as Tony Stark.
Avid comic book fans know that the movie is based on the comic book series titled Captain America: Civil War, which will have Avengers and other Marvel characters divided to create a registration for individuals with powers. Stark is supportive of the idea, while Rogers disagrees. Those sided with Iron man include War Machine, Black Widow, Black Panther, and The Vision. Black Panther will make his debut in the upcoming film. Fans were surprised to see him take a side in the Civil War. However, it was revealed that he will play a major role in the film. On the other hand, Captain America's team consists of Hawkeye, Sharon Carter, Falcon, Bucky Barnes, and Ant-Man. Sharon Carter, also known as Agent 13, is a descendant of Captain America's past love interest.
However, the hero roster list is not limited to those. Several other Marvel heroes will be making appearance in the film, such as Spider-Man and Scarlet Witch. Speculations of Scarlet Witch's absence from the concept art made fans believe that she could possibly be in a prisoner situation. Tom Holland will debut his portrayal as Spider-Man in the upcoming film, making way for his own stand-alone movie.
Captain America: Civil War will debut in theaters by May 2016.
