'Captain America: Civil War' Update: Spider-Man Not Playing Cameo Role, New Character Revealed
Only a few more sleeps left until the "Captain America: Civil War" hits theaters. Several Marvel fans are excited already to catch the characters in action especially after the latest hero added into the movie has been revealed through the second trailer. It's no secret anymore that Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland, will be joining the third installment of the "Captain America" film franchise. But many are wondering if he will be just doing a cameo role or will have an essential part.
According to a report by International Business Times, spoilers reveal that the webslinger will be doing more than just delivering a one-liner. This was divulged by fans who attended the premiere of the film at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles on April 12. Screen Crush editor-in-chief said that Spider-Man will be in action for at least 20 minutes and will show Peter Parker for at least a good 10 minutes. With regards to what he will be doing in the film, fans will have to wait and see in the movie.
New characters have been revealed to take part in the film as well. As detailed in News Arama, "Wayward Pines" actress Hope Davis will be appearing in the upcoming film to play as Tony Stark's (Robert Downy Jr.) deceased mother, Maria Stark. This will be the first time that Maria will be appearing. It's expected that she will be in a flashback scene together with Howard Stark who has been played by three different actors in the Marvel Cinematic Universe already.
And to heighten the hype even more, Marvel released an extended version of the clip where Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) meets Steve Rogers (Chris Evans). Comic Book Movie noted that the clip was first revealed in "Jimmy Kimmel Live" and compared to the first one, the extended version shows Ant-Man overwhelmed meeting Captain America.
"Captain America: Civil War" will premiere on April 29 in the U.K. and May 6 in the U.S.
