The Panthers have been one of the best teams so far in the season, led by star quarterback Cam Newton. The team has not lost in their last nine matches extending back to the previous season.
They are playing in only their third game at home, but have beaten teams like the Houston Texans and Saints when playing as hosts.
In their last game week, they beat the Seattle Seahawks 27-23 to reassert their claim as one of the better teams in the league.
Meanwhile, the Eagles have had trouble finding consistency in their season so far and are only 3-3 in their first six weeks in the season.
Luckily, the rest of the teams in the division are also suffering from finding their form, resulting in the Eagles sitting on top of the NFC East.
After suffering two straight losses in the first two game weeks against the Falcons and Cowboys, the Eagles have bounced back to win three of their last four.
Their last win was a tough bout against the Giants in a 27-7 victory. Both teams struggled and it was a game full of turnovers but the Eagles remained strong and kept the pressure as they went on to get the victory.
Now facing a team that have not lost in the season so far, the Eagles are expected to clean up their possession game and stay strong on defence if they want to keep their spot at the top of the table.
After facing the Panthers, the Eagles will have their bye week for rest and recovery.
