'Castle' Season 7: Premiere Episode Will Be in Two Parts, Castle and Beckett to be Married in Premiere?
Season 6 of "Castle" ended with a terrible car crash, and Castle's car was engulfed in flames right before his wedding to Beckett. Is this the end to the pair's romance?
Fans of the ABC show will be happy to know that Season 7 of the popular crime drama will focus on the highly anticipated wedding of the couple. Executive producer David Amann is penning the script for the season opener, while Rob Bowman will be directing the episode.
TVLine is reporting that "Castle will return with a two-parter, and to that end is casting the guest-starring role of 'Henry,' a "highly intelligent yet unassuming gent who's great at blending into a crowd."
After shocking fans with an explosive finale, the show producers teased that the upcoming season will be "well-deserved" and start off "with a bang."
"Castle" creator Andrew Marlowe admitted that some fans were not happy with the way the "Caskett" wedding was ruined at the end of season 6. He asked the fans to "give us a couple of episodes".
"We have something planned that we're kind of excited about, and we hope that people come back and play along," said Marlowe. The producers also mentioned that the upcoming season hinges on the people or group behind the attack against Castle, which implies that new villains could be introduced on the show.
It has also been revealed that the new season will present a side of Rick Castle that has not been previously explored in the past seasons. The "new mythology" in Season 7 is believed to be a lot about Rick's past.
"Castle" Season 7 will premiere on ABC on Sept. 29.
