'Castle' Season 8 Finale Spoilers: Is Beckett In Grave Danger?
Despite the fervent pleading of the fans, it looks like Episode 22 of its Season 8 will be the final episode of ABC's hit police procedural drama TV series "Castle."
Just last week, the network officially cancelled the series after negotiations with the show's cast members didn't pull off. However, this doesn't mean that this week's showing will be short of excitement, suspense, and drama. In fact, it looks like long-time followers of the series are up for some shocking endgame scenarios.
According to the synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic for the finale segment titled "Crossfire," Richard Castle and Captain Kate Beckett now has the lead in their hands to take down LokSat. Throughout the current season, the plot has been building up on the conspiracy and it looks like this last straw will land them to where the author-detective pair should be.

Needless to say, this won't come easy for the duo as well as with the NYPD. Viewers discover in the previous showing that there's more to the case than it appears on the outside. LokSat is basically a secret pass for a number of illegal business operations like money laundering and drug trade. The first time Castle and Beckett hear about the code, it was tied to the name of a high ranking government official.
The TFC summary hints of an "unforeseen twist" that will put the case and their lives as well, in grave danger.
Are Rick, Beckett, and the NYPD running up against a formidable adversary?
A promo video teases some of the intense events that are expected to take place in the show-ender. The clip opens up with Castle being warned about his wife's fate.
"Kate Beckett will be dead by the end of the night and there is nothing you can do about it," a man told Rick.
The next parts of the video find the captain, Rick along with the rest of the squad at a loading dock. Scenes quickly erupted to gun shootings as the NYPD takes down the threats.
Will Beckett survive the final ordeal?
The "Castle" Season 8 finale airs this Monday, May 16 at 10 p.m. on ABC.
