Cathy Nesbitt-Stein in, Abby Lee Miller out in Season 6 of 'Dance Moms'?

No other season of a reality show has had so many rumors and speculations surrounding it than Season 6 of "Dance Moms." When "Dance Moms" was up for the renewal, fans have been speculating as to who will participate and who won't.

At end of Season 5, there were many allegations that the show was scripted and that a lot of confrontations between the moms and Abby Lee Miller were set-up. There were also allegations against Abby Lee - allegations saying that she resorted to favoritism and that she promoted her star students at the cost of others. She had also famously stated that there were "financial issues" with Lifetime and they should sort out her payment.

Fans have since then been wondering if Lifetime would continue with Abby Lee in the sixth season.

There have been rumors that should Abby Lee decide to step down, Cathy Nesbitt-Stein might take over as coach supremo of "Dance Moms" Season 6. Cathy and her daughter Vivi-Anne had a lot of tension and negative vibes with Abby Lee during Season 5, so much so that the mother and daughter opted out of Season 5B of "Dance Moms."

The owner of Candy Apple's Dance Center, Cathy now wants to come back on the show as evidenced from the fact that she has publicly said she is willing to come back if Abby Lee gives her permission to do so. Lifetime officials have not commented on this. As of yet, they have not asked Cathy to lead the new season in place of Abby Lee. It looks like Cathy made a mistake when she did not return for Season 5B, giving her 'tight schedule' as her reason for not coming back.

Some of the teams that will be returning for Season 6 are Nia Frazier and her mom, Jessalyn Siwa and her daughter, Kendall and Jill Vertes plus Kalani Hilliker and her mom.
