Chad Johnson, Evelyn Lozada Officially Divorced
Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada are officially divorced just five weeks after the "Basketball Wives" star filed for divorce after just 40 days of marriage.
Johnson, who initially refused to sign the divorce papers, eventually conceded that the marriage could not be repaired and a Florida judge signed off on the papers and granted the pair's request early Wednesday, according to reports.
The finalized divorce comes less than a week after Johnson, 34, was formally charged over the Aug. 11 head-butt incident which left Lozada, 37, with a 3-inch laceration and in need for stitches.

The disgraced NFL player, who lost his lucrative position with the Miami Dolphins over the alleged assault, has been charged with misdemeanor battery for allegedly head-butting his now ex-wife during a domestic dispute. The father of three now faces up to one year in jail, according to TMZ.
Lozada claimed that Johnson head-butted her during a dispute over a receipt for condoms that she had found. She was left with a bloodied forehead and emotional wounds.
"It gets pretty heated," Davie Police Department Capt. Dale Engle told The Sun Sentinel. "By the time they get home here in Davie it's pretty heated. She alleges he leaned over and head-butted her. He says she leaned towards him and that they butted heads. Needless to say, she has a good laceration on her forehead."
The exes allegedly had a prenuptial agreement in place which protects both of their assets, and there were no reported property disputes.
The divorce and the battery charges follow a string of unfortunate circumstances that have been faced by Johnson as a result of the head-butt claims.
After being fired, Johnson was sued by a former employee who claims that the unemployed NFL player owes him for unpaid services. Jacinth Preston has requested $130,000 in compensation to cover his salary, landscaping, and cleaning, among other things, all for managing services that he allegedly performed at Johnson's Florida home.
Johnson is now reportedly also facing foreclosure on his home and both he and Lozada also face the possibility of being sued for approximately $90,000 by the St. Maarten government after allegedly breaching a wedding contract.
