Chad Johnson Strikes Plea Deal Following Evelyn Lozada Headbutt Incident

Chad Johnson will reportedly not face any jail time after striking a plea deal with prosecutors in the domestic assault case involving his ex-wife Evelyn Lozada.

The disgraced NFL player recently agreed to undergo extensive anger management counseling and to be placed on probation in exchange for either a guilty plea or no contest plea, according to TMZ.com.

Johnson, who was charged with misdemeanor battery over the Aug. 11 headbutting incident, has agreed to a no-contact order, which requires him never to contact Lozada, 37, and the father of three will subsequently avoid all jail time.

The plea deal is likely to be finalized during a court hearing which has been scheduled for Friday. The deal comes just two days after Johnson's divorce from Lozada was finalized by a Florida judge.

Lozada, who is a Vh1 reality TV star, filed for divorce from Johnson after just 40 days of marriage following the assault incident, which left her with a 3-inch laceration and in need of stitches.

Johnson, who lost his lucrative position with the Miami Dolphins over the alleged assault, was accused of headbutting Lozada during a domestic dispute over a receipt for condoms.

Lozada claimed that Johnson headbutted her after she confronted him over a receipt for condoms that she had found. The "Basketball Wives" star was left with a bloodied forehead and emotional wounds.

"It gets pretty heated," Davie Police Department Capt. Dale Engle told The Sun Sentinel. "By the time they get home here in Davie it's pretty heated. She alleges he leaned over and head-butted her. He says she leaned towards him and that they butted heads. Needless to say, she has a good laceration on her forehead."

Soon after the headbutting incident, reports of an affair began swirling with RadarOnline.com reporting that Johnson may have engaged in an affair with a woman named Beverly Shiner.

Shiner, 30, claims to have met Johnson on Twitter, the same social networking site where he met Lozada in 2010 just a few months before proposing. The former Miami Dolphins wide receiver then allegedly sent her a direct message inviting her out to dinner.

"It wasn't just a one night thing, he always said he wanted to move in with me, and said if he had I'd be pregnant by then. He kept asking if I wanted to have more kids," Shiner told RadarOnline.com.

"Once, when I was at his house, I asked what would happen if Evelyn walked in right now, and he said she wouldn't care. He said, 'I'm not doing anything different than what every other man is doing,' he thinks it is fine to cheat. I feel he was completely disrespectful and he led me on," she went on.
