Chaka Khan on American Idol, Wants to Be a Judge Next Season? (VIDEO)
Chaka Khan was one of many music artists who filled the stage during the two-hour finale of "American Idol" on Wednesday night and when asked about being a judge, that star admitted she would "like that."
Khan sang two numbers on stage, opening up with a medley "Ain't Nobody" and "Through the Fire." The 59-year-old wore a bronze, skin tight, sequenced cat suit that drew as much attention as her well rated performance, and slightly resembled a similar outfit worn by former 'Idol' winner Fantasia. Khan's second number, the classic "I'm Every Woman" received even more support than the first.
Other star performances for the night included Rihanna, Jennifer Lopez, Aerosmith, Reba, Neil Diamond, and John Fogarty. When asked about whether or not she would consider being a judge on the show, Khan admitted that the contestants could use just a bit more honesty.

"Yeah, I'd do it," she told Zap2It. "They could use some truth up there. A little bit of truth, honesty. I'd like that."
Phillip Phillips was the true star of the night however, after winning the show and gaining the upper hand on Jessica Sanchez, who had been widely favored throughout the competition.
Phillips however, did not appear ready to be accepting his star status anytime soon.
"I have no idea why I won, man," Phillips told the Associated Press backstage. "I guess some people liked the music that I was doing. I'm just lucky. ... I was just doing my thing each week."
Philips may still have a few more roadblocks as well, ahead of him, before he can go on his way to becoming a star. The 21 year-old singer suffered from kidney issues throughout the show and is scheduled to go in for surgery within the new few weeks according to Entertainment Weekly.
