'Cheetah Girls' Stars Reunite, Treat Fans to Nostalgic Duets

A couple of "Cheetah Girls 2" stars were reunited recently. Though a movie reboot is not in the pipeline, they treated fans with several duets of songs that stuck to the hearts of their followers.

Raven-Symoné, who played Galleria, and Belinda, who took the role of Marisol, were recently together and drove around Los Angeles.

The stars decided to go live on Instagram and broadcasted their renditions of "Amigas Cheetahs" and "A La Nanita Nana."

Raven-Symoné and Belinda's reunion happened more than a decade since "The Cheetah Girls 2" TV film showed,  but the duo assured fans that they remained good friends after all these years.

The Instagram live video was initiated by Raven-Symoné, who said she was not that fond of doing video messages on social media but that day was an exemption. She called it "a bomb moment" and added: "My bestest friend from years ago is chilling with me today....her name is Belinda."

"The Cheetah Girls" was based on a same title book written by Deborah Gregory and first aired its TV film in 2003 on the Disney Channel. Raven-Symoné was one of the cast members in the first movie while Belinda only joined the crew in its sequel film that was released in 2006.

The other original cast members in the first movie include Adrienne Bailon, Sabrina Bryan, and Kiely Williams, who played the roles of Chanel, Dorinda and Aquanette, respectively.

In the film, they were a group of girls living in Manhattan who dreamt of being good singers and performers. However, despite their perseverance, everyone faced different situations at home that somehow discouraged them from achieving that dream.

Meanwhile, Belinda's character was that of a Spanish pop superstar who later on became friends with the original Cheetah girls when the group visited Spain to audition for a major international music fest.

Apart from Raven-Symoné and Belinda's reunion, on "The Real" this week, co-host Bailon talked about how a movie reboot would go. When asked what she and the original members might be doing in the reboot, she said: "I think they said that we'd manage the new group."

However, Disney has not yet confirmed any plans of bringing back the girls in a movie.
