Chelsea Clinton vs Donald Trump On Twitter Posts About Threats To Pull Out Support For Puerto Rico

A lot of netizens reacted after US President Donald Trump latest Twitter posts about Puerto Rico, including the former First Daughter Chelsea Clinton.

In a series of tweets, Trump threatened to pull out the federal emergency management workers (FEMA) from the hurricane-stricken Caribbean island because he believes that the US cannot support them for a long time.

According to Trump, Puerto Rico managed to survive the highly destructive Hurricane Maria. But the tropical country is now experiencing a financial crisis due to its own doing based on the report of Sinclair Broadcasting Group's reporter Sharyl Attkisson.

Trump also claimed that the electric facilities and infrastructure were already ruined even before the hurricane rampaged the island. Because of this, he revealed that the Congress will decide how much the country will spend for the tropical island's rehabilitation, but they cannot have the assistance of the FEMA, the military and the emergency response team from the US forever.

This led to a series of backlash from a lot of netizens online, particularly some high-profile personalities like Clinton.

On her own Twitter post, the daughter of Former US President Bill Clinton and Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton retweeted a report from CBS journalist David Begnaud stating a devastating situation in one of the hospitals in Puerto Rico.

"Mr. President, please read @DavidBegnaud on what he saw in 1 #PuertoRico hospital. Heroism & understandable frustration @realDonaldTrump," Clinton stated.

Based on Begnaud's report, a medical facility in Canóvanas, Puerto Rico had to function without electricity and the doctors had to work nonstop in horrible conditions.

At the moment, around 80 percent of the entire tropical island is still enveloped in the dark since the power supply in the rest of the country has yet to be restored after Hurricane Maria nearly flattened the country.

Trump has yet to react to Clinton's criticisms about his threat regarding the pull-out of government support in Puerto Rico.
