At the moment, the Bulls hold a slight lead over the Pistons in the standings, while the Cleveland Cavaliers hold the top spot.
Only 1.5 games separate the Bulls and the Pistons – making this coming game a huge clash as it can trim Chicago's lead to 0.5 or extend their advantage over Detroit to 2.5.
However, they are not the only two teams battling for position in the group as the Indiana Pacers are only 0.5 games behind the Pistons making it a very tight race.
When these two clash, it has always been an epic battle as their first two meetings were decided thanks to extra periods.
In the first, it was an overtime win for the Pistons thanks to a big game by Marcus Morris who had 26 points, seven rebounds and two assists.
For the Bulls, Pau Gasol had 16 points and 12 rebounds in the 98-94 loss.
When the two teams met again, this time at the United Center, it needed four overtime periods just to determine the winner as the Pistons again came out on top 147-144.
Andre Drummond had a spectacular game for the Pistons as he had 33 points and 21 big rebounds, while Jimmy Butler poured in 43 points and had eight rebounds in the defeat.
Look for Detroit to go up 3-0 in the series, while the Bulls try to get their first win over the Motor City.
