'Chicago Fire' Season 3 News: Episode 3 'Just Drive the Truck' Recap, Episode 4 Spoilers

The Oct. 7 episode of "Chicago Fire" saw a crash involving fire trucks from Firehouse 51 and the Austin firehouse which resulted in a lot of finger-pointing and tempers flaring up between the Cruz and Welch.

The episode, titled "Just Drive the Truck" starts with Cruz, Mouch and Otis looking for food trucks online for Sherman. A call comes in and they all head on out in a fire truck. Along the way they see Welch and his fire company rushing towards the same fire. Casey warns Cruz not to race them, but as they cross an intersection, Welch's truck slammed into them.

Tony, Mills, and Kelley arrive at the scene of the accident and immediately started helping everyone who got hurt. Chief Wallace arrives and asked what happened. Cruz said that it wasn't his fault and that he didn't run a red light. The police ordered Cruz to take a Breathalyzer, and Welch screamed at Cruz and blamed him for the accident.

Chief Tyburg told Cruz later that they have video footage of him running the red light and advised him to get a lawyer. The driver of Welch's truck was still unconscious, and if he didn't make it, Cruz could have been charged with manslaughter. Luckily, the driver, Molina, came out of his coma.

Next week's episode, titled "Apologies are Dangerous," has the following premise.

"Dawson (Monica Raymund) starts her first day as a candidate and looks to find a balance with Lieutenant Casey (Jesse Spencer) inside the firehouse. Mills (Charlie Barnett) must come to terms with a future that doesn't include the squad. Meanwhile, Severide (Taylor Kinney) confronts hid demons in an unexpected way and the Molly's crew has a date with the city inspector to make sure their food truck is up to code," the synopsis redas.
