'Chicago Fire' Season 5 Episode 15 Spoilers: Firehouse 51 Teams Up With Voight and Stone's Squads in Crossover
Firehouse 51 will be on high alert as a massive fire engulfs an old factory in the upcoming episode of "Chicago Fire."
March 1 marks the three-part crossover happening between the "Chicago" shows. The action will start with "Fire" at 8 p.m. EST, then "P.D." at 9 p.m. and will end with "Justice" at 10 p.m. According to the synopsis (via CarterMatt) for the episode titled "Deathtrap," a terrible tragedy will take place that will leave the whole city traumatized. When fire consumes an old plant, many workers will be trapped inside. The firefighters will have a tough time extracting them out of the building. Some will die due to the incident, while many will be wounded.
Voight (Jason Beghe) and the Intelligence Unit of "Chicago P.D." will be involved when it is revealed that Olinsky's (Elias Koteas) daughter is one of the victims. As the two groups work together, they will realize that there is more to the case than meets the eye. The fire is no accident. It is arson.
Assistant State Attorney Stone (guest star Philip Winchester) and his team will also enter the picture. They will hunt down the culprit and make him pay for what he did. Some characters from "Med" will also be featured. Dr. Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) will play a major role when the burn victims are transferred to the hospital.
In a recent interview, showrunner Dick Wolf told The Hollywood Reporter that the crossover is something to look forward to. The preparation they did to make it happen, he said, was no joke.
"Nothing remotely like this has ever been done with a three-hour block of programming. [It's] very challenging, but a great story and something I think that will keep people sitting there for all three hours. Each one has a slightly different variation on the same theme. Each hour is giving you new information and moving toward a great courtroom conclusion," Wolf said, according to THR.
"Chicago Fire" season 5 episode 15 will air March 1, Tuesday, at 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
