'Chicago Fire' Season 6 Episode 4 Spoilers: Stella Confronts Hope About Her Connection with Severide
Stella (Miranda Rae Mayo) will begin to suspect that Hope (Eloise Mumford) has an ulterior motive for flirting with Severide (Taylor Kinney) in the upcoming episode of "Chicago Fire."
In the episode titled "A Breaking Point," the synopsis reveals that Stella will decide that there is more to Severide's new love interest than meets the eye. While she has no personal grudge against Brett's (Kara Killmer) old friend, Stella feels that her ex-boyfriend needs more time before he becomes involved in another relationship. Hope has done nothing but flirt with Severide ever since she met the lieutenant. She even disregarded Brett's advice to keep her distance because Severide might still be hurting due to his girlfriend's death.
It has been previously teased that soon, Severide would think that Stella might be the one for him. At the moment, they are both content with being friends. Severide even took in Stella when she got kicked out of her apartment. Showrunner Derek Haas has said in an interview that the forced proximity could result to a more improved relationship with the lieutenant.
"Stella is going to be around for a while in his apartment. The search for a new apartment is not quite going as quickly as she imagined it would be. But there are definitely feelings there, certainly feelings her way toward Severide, and over the course of the season, maybe she's the one who can live up to the archetype in his mind of who he's looking for," the EP teased.
Meanwhile, the promo shows Dawson (Monica Raymund) in an uncompromising situation after she and several people get trapped inside a collapsing parking structure. In the clip, the Firehouse 51 members are doing their best to save those inside, but it may be too late. The last scene in the trailer seems to suggest that Dawson will die in the incident.
"Chicago Fire" season 6 airs Thursdays, at 10 p.m. EDT on NBC.
