'Chicago P.D.' Season 4 Spoilers: Platt Fights For Her Life After Brutal Attack By Unknown Assailant; Dawson Leaves Series For Another Show

A special episode that will focus on Sergeant Trudy Platt will await fans of "Chicago P.D." Season 4. Her life will be hanging by a thread after a brutal beating she got from an assailant in episode 3 of the new season.
Last week, "Chicago P.D." Season 4 came back into the swing of things when the police department was able to solve the complicated case of a white woman who went missing inside a black ghetto community. Also in the said episode, Burgess (Marina Squerciati) was seen getting along well with her new partner.
Platt and father brutally attacked

According to the official synopsis of the episode of "Chicago P.D." Season 4 released by NBC, Platt and her father Robert (Chelcie Ross) become targets of a brutal assailant. Platt will be coming over her father's house to meet his new girlfriend Natalie (Lilia Vassileva) and for dinner. She becomes wary of Natalie and warns her father about her.
Rushed to Chicago Med
As Platt gets into her car to head home, she is assaulted brutally. She had to be rushed to Gaffney Chicago Medical Center where she is met by detectives Erin Lindsay (Sophia Bush) and Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) who were there with Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) in the upcoming "Chicago P.D." Season 4 episode.
"Chicago Med's" Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell) prepares her for surgery as the three detectives begin their investigations on the attack. The first to be questioned is "Chicago Fire" character Mouch (Christian Stolte).
Dawson takes the lead on the investigation
Another detective of the police department Antonio Dawson (Jon Seda) will lead the intelligence team to the crime scene. He wants to know everyone who has threatened Platt for whatever reason. Spoilers for "Chicago P.D." Season 4 reveal that Dawson will visit Robert in his townhouse but gets shocked when he discovers signs of a more brutal attack on Robert.
It is possible that the new girlfriend is the one responsible for the assault on Platt and her dad. It can also be Commander Foley, Tay's (Li Jun Li) former boss who threatened Platt earlier in "Chicago P.D." Season 4 after she reassigned Tay. She fended off Foley's advances and he assigned her to the worst job in Chicago which is writing parking tickets. Platt rescued Tay and transferred her to a better job.
Moving to new Chicago series
Meanwhile, Antonio Dawson will not be seen for a long time in "Chicago P.D." Season 4. According to reports, Seda will be moving to the new spinoff series "Chicago Justice" as a series regular. Dawson will be the lead investigator working in the District Attorney's office. He is expected to continue to be in the police drama for eight episodes and until the new series premieres midseason.
Episode 3 of "Chicago P.D." Season 4 will air on October 5 on NBC. It is titled "All Cylinders Firing".
