'Chicago PD' Season 5 Episode 10 Spoilers: Halstead to Become a Suspect in Homicide Case

Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) will find himself tangled in a homicide investigation in the upcoming episode of "Chicago P.D."

In the episode titled "Rabbit Hole," the synopsis reveals that the detective will be involved in a murder case. Everything will start when his new girlfriend, Camila (guest star Anabelle Acosta), invites him to go on a party with her. She will eventually land him in trouble, where he appears to be blamed for a drug-related homicide. It seems like Lindsay's (Sophia Bush) replacement is not a good influence on Halstead. When the situation calls for him to pick between his squad and Camila, he will have a hard time choosing. This is something that his colleagues will not take lightly.

Meanwhile, the episode will also feature the moment Voight (Jason Beghe) unmasks the spy on his team. He is sure it is Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger). There has been evidence about his betrayal for a while. Voight refrained from calling Ruzek out, though, because he wanted the other to come and confess to him. In an interview Hollywood Life, Flueger said that the whole thing is his character's worst nightmare. Ruzek knows he is in trouble, but he had no choice. He just hopes that Voight and the others will understand why he did what he did.

"[This is Ruzek's] worst nightmare coming true. He knows that Voight will colour outside the lines when it comes to exact his own justice, so I think there's a lot of fear there. I think if he was able to stop and think incredibly logically about the situation he would know that Voight would never kill him, but I think in that moment where the situation has sprung on him, I think he doesn't know exactly what's going to happen, you know? That his life could very well be in danger," Flueger said.

"Chicago P.D." season 5 will return on Wednesday, Jan. 3 at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
