Chris Brown net worth: Singer reveals he owns 14 Burger Kings
After engaging in a huge controversy earlier this year after begging the U.S. President to get him out of the Philippine islands, as well as getting a new head tattoo, rapper Chris Brown has made another statement by revealing that he owns 14 Burger King restaurants.
In an interview for US Weekly's "25 Things You Don't Know About Me," the "Loyal" singer, aside from flaunting that he bought a $1 million dollar home for his mother at the age of 15, said he purchased 14 branches of one of the country's largest food franchises.
As stated in Burger King's corporate website, an person who wants to start his own franchise needs to have a net worth of at least $1.5 million and an additional $500,000 in liquid assets.
Aside from the mentioned qualifications, the interested individual is also required to pay $50,000 to acquire a 20-year franchise agreement with the giant food chain.
While multiple outlets have reported that Brown's net worth is approximately at $30 million, including Forbes, the singer has revealed that he made a total of $4 million in profits in the first year of his clothing line's launch.
It is unclear as to when the rapper became a Burger King franchisee, but he is remembered to have stated his love for burgers following his release from jail in June 2014, according to the International Business Times. "You're more appreciative of everything else that's on the outside. A burger tastes 1,000 times better when you're out," he told the Billboard magazine.
Rumors suggest that Brown is probably starting to invest in his one-year-old daughter Royalty's future, following his bout with Royalty's mother, Nia Guzman, after Guzman allegedly demanded $15,000 in child support.
Meanwhile, the "Body on Me" singer also revealed that he has recently visited church for the first time in 15 years, adding that he "loved it."
Aside from sharing that he loves dancing with his daughter, Brown also said "Success or money never changed who I am as a person."
