Chris Brown Spreads Love After Jail Stint, Karrueche Tran Reacts

After spending 36 hours in jail, singer-songwriter Chris Brown had his reported felony assault charge lessened to a misdemeanor and took to Twitter to share a message with fans.

"I love you TEAM BREEZY," Brown tweeted Monday.

Brown left a Washington, D.C., courtroom Monday after allegedly assaulting one man who wanted his picture while the 24-year-old singer was visiting the capital city to perform. The singer and his bodyguard Christopher Hollosy got into an altercation in the early Sunday morning hours in front of the W Hotel.

While law enforcement sources reportedly told TMZ that Brown punched the man in the nose when he tried to join in on a picture that the singer was taking with two women, sources close to the singer insist that the victim tried to sneak on the entertainer's tour bus. Brown's team says he was using self-defense to stop the man from trespassing.

Brown's lawyer, Danny Onorato, insisted his client was innocent.

"Christopher Brown committed no crime," Onorato told reporters, according to RumorFix.com. "We understand that his security acted to protect Mr. Brown and his property, as he is authorized to do under District of Columbia law. We are confident that Mr. Brown will be exonerated of any wrongdoing."

The singer who is currently serving a probation sentence stemming from a felony assault on his ex-girlfriend and singer Rihanna, 25, will appear in court again on Nov 24. After hearing the news, his off-and-on again model girlfriend Karrueche Tran took to Twitter to react.

"I hate waking up to bad news," she tweeted Sunday.

However, she did not hesitate to react to those poking fun of Brown's situation, that may cause him to face serious jail time due to a potential violation of his probation.

"What is wrong with some of y'all? Did y'all parents not love y'all enough," Tran lashed out on Twitter. "Y'all gotta quit w this negative (expletive) 24 (expletive) 7."
