Chris Hemsworth News: Actor Experiences 'Faith in Humanity Restored' Sort of Story

Actor Chris Hemsworth has been involved in a sort of "faith in humanity restored" story after a 17-year old boy returned his cash-filled wallet that he left on a restaurant table.

Hemsworth, who is most identified for his role as Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies, including the character's eponymous films, came to "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" earlier this week to promote his movie " The Huntsman: Winter's War." When he started talking about his lost wallet incident, he and DeGeneres called the 17-year old boy who found his wallet, Tristin Budzyn-Barker, onstage.

"When I found out it was yours, I looked up at my Mum and said 'Mum! Do you know who this is? We found Thor's wallet!'" said Barker as he recalled the incident.

As the boy had to go through great lengths just to return the wallet to the rightful owner, Hemsworth gifted the lad with the amount contained in his wallet, adding that he thought it would already be empty once returned to him. To his surprise and amazement, not a single bill from his returned wallet has been touched.

"I thought for sure it was going to be empty," said Hemsworth as he handed the cash to Barker.

"Well, it's empty now," answered Barker.

Based on the research done by the show, it was found out that Barker has been building shelters for horses to earn the Eagle Scout award and even has to sell some horses in order to save up for his college education. With this, DeGeneres added another $10,000 to what Hemsworth had already given to the boy for his honest deeds so that he can pursue a college degree.

Apart from the cash that he received from Hemsworth and DeGeneres, Barker also got a recommendation letter from Hemsworth for an Eagle Scout Award.

Meanwhile, Hemsworth is busy touring and promoting his upcoming film "The Huntsman: Winter's War," which is slated to hit the theaters today, April 22.

The movie is a prequel to the 2012 film, "Snow White and the Huntsman."
