Chris Martin and Jennifer Lawrence Dating Update: Chris Meets Jen's Mom, Gwyneth Paltrow Wants to Spend Time With Jen

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin were first rumored to be dating this summer as they have been spotted together on several occasions.

Though the "Hunger Games" actress and the Coldplay front man have not publicly confirmed their relationship, it looks like things are getting serious between the two as Lawrence's grandmother has confirmed that Martin has met— and won— the approval of the 24-year old's mother.

"Jennifer's mom flew to Los Angeles to meet Chris. We will have to get another chair for the dinner table at Christmas," Lawrence's grandmother Carolyn Koch told The Sun. "The family is getting so big we might have to split up for gatherings."

"Jennifer doesn't like the hype. She looks like she really enjoys doing TV interviews but she's just a great actress," Koch's husband Colin said.

According to Mirror.co, the actress has reportedly told friends that she would love to start a family when "the time is right" and plans to get married in her hometown of Louisville in Kentucky.

Meanwhile, Martin's ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow has reportedly expressed her desire to spend some time with Lawrence before Martin introduces her to their two children.

Paltrow announced their split in a post on her GOOP website titled "Conscious Uncoupling" back in March, but she and Martin have remained on good terms. The Coldplay singer even threw a birthday party for her last month, and has reportedly bought the home across the street from where his ex-wife lives.

According to the Daily Mail, Paltrow "wants to be sure" of Lawrence before Martin introduces her to their children, 10-year old Apple and 8-year old Moses.

Moreover, Paltrow is said to approve of Lawrence and thinks that she and the "Hunger Games" actress will get along well.
