Chris Soules Car Crash News 2017: 'The Bachelor' Star Bailed from Jail
Chris Soules recently got caught up in an accident. On Monday night, he was put behind bars for trying to flee the scene.
Soules starred in ABC's "The Bachelor" in 2015. He is known for being the nice guy who is very friendly and uber cheesy in the series. Yet, it looks like he is not really the guy whom ABC introduced to its fans.
On Monday, the 2008 Chevy pickup truck that he was driving crashed into a 2640 John Deere tractor, as reported by CNN. The incident, which happened around 8 in the evening, caused the tractor driver to die.
The tractor driver was identified as Kenneth E. Mosher, a 66-year-old man from Aurora, according to USA Today. The publication detailed that he was rushed to Mercy Hospital in Oelwein. Even so, he was later pronounced dead.
Meanwhile, Soules reportedly moved swiftly on foot away from the fatal crash. However, he got arrested by the Buchanan Country Sheriff's Department later on.
As per the documents submitted to the court, "The Bachelor" star was keeping "alcoholic beverages/containers." With that, plus the damages he caused, he might spend five years in prison.
According to CNN, Soules paid a bail of $10,000 and was then released. He is set to appear in court for his preliminary hearing on May 2.
This is not the first time that "The Bachelor" star has been arrested. According to Radar Online, his current arrest is just one of the many cases in his criminal record.
His first was in 1998. He was overspeeding; yet he got away with it by paying a fine.
In 2006, he was also arrested over drunk driving. This incident is probably Soules' worst as he was penalized with over $500. On top of that, he was sentenced to jail for one year. These are just a few cases in Soules' overlong rap sheet as he was jailed ten times and pleaded guilty 13 times already.
