Chris Weidman News: UFC Middleweight Champion Tells 'Gruesome' Story About Wardrobe Malfunction

UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman has proven himself to be one of the toughest fighters in mixed martial arts.

Having beaten former long-time champion Anderson Silva twice and also defeating other former UFC world champions such as Lyoto Machida and Vitor Belfort, Weidman's skill level and grit has been the main key to his success.

But apparently, the 31-year old native of Baldwin, New York went through a harrowing experience as a first grader.

In an interview with Huffington Post Live (transcribed by MMA Mania), Weidman shared how a wardrobe malfunction shook up his childhood.

"I actually got my p**** caught in my zipper when I was in first grade," Weidman narrated. "I became a UFC fighter, but the worst thing that comes to my head instantly is my p**** getting caught in my zipper. That was the worst thing ever."

Weidman further narrated how it all happened while he was in a bathroom in school, adding that he required the help of the principal, vice principal, and paramedics. What made matters worse for the current UFC 185-pound king was the look of disbelief on the faces of the attending paramedics, along with the fact that he had to go through the entire ordeal naked in front of the school officials.

"They put me on the stretcher and of course the bell rings in the school, so everybody comes out of their classes and I'm going out on a stretcher and everyone's like, 'What's wrong with him!?'" Weidman recalled. But that wasn't the end of his problems.

His older brother conveniently told everyone about what happened, but shifted the story's end a little bit. Instead, everyone was made to believe that Weidman needed to have his organ amputated.

So in sixth grade, having had enough and having mustered the courage to try to put a stop to the jokes, Weidman says, "I was just kind of whipping it out everywhere, like, 'Look at me! I have one!'"

Chris Weidman will be defending his middleweight title for the fourth time against former Strikeforce champion Luke Rockhold at UFC 194 on December 12th, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
