'Chronos Ruler' Anime Spoilers: Victo and Kiri to Battle Sentient Horologue in Penultimate Episode
Victo has finally come face to face with the Horologue that devoured his time and has also been keeping Couljours trapped in a time barrier. But how can he and Kiri hope to defeat a Horologue that has already gained an ego on the penultimate episode of the Japanese anime series, "Chronos Ruler"?
This week's episode gave fans some really significant points to ponder on as the series nears its end. Following Kiri, Blaze, and Mina's discovery of the time wall surrounding Couljours, which has been keeping the entire town suspended in time, they were attacked by a couple of adversaries acting under the orders of someone they simply called, "His Majesty."
It was also during this battle that speculations regarding Kiri and Mina's relations may have just been confirmed. One of their enemies recognized Mina, whom he last saw as a younger girl named Nana. And since Kiri's mother was also named Nana, could this be enough proof that Kiri is Mina's son?
The enemy definitely thought so, but since Mina has failed to address this supposed fact directly, some fans can't help but be a little skeptical. And even if this were true, the series will have to back it up with a plausible explanation that may or may not fit into this season's final two episodes.
It has also been revealed that a Horologue that has devoured vast amounts of human time can eventually gain an ego from being influenced by human memories. One such Horologue turned out to be the one that has devoured Victo's time and has since been toying with his parents in Couljours.
But even if Victo has already chosen to destroy the yet unnamed Horologue at the expense of losing his parents again, his chances of doing so seems rather slim, even with Kiri now fighting by his side.
Will the Chronos Rulers succeed and bring Couljours back to the present, or will they all be stuck in the Horologue's experiments for good?
"Chronos Ruler" airs on Fridays late night at 12:30 a.m. JST on Tokyo MX and BS 11. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources can be found on the series' official site. Episodes are also available for selected regions outside Japan via Crunchyroll.
