'Cinderella Girls Gekijou' Season 2 Air Date, Spoilers: Anime to Feature More of the Girls' Downtime Adventures

The second season of the short-form Japanese anime series "Cinderella Girls Gekijou" is coming this fall.

The series has previously released a 13-episode first season based on Kuma-Jet's "Cinderella Girls Theater," which is a spin-off of "The iDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls" manga series. Season 1 aired last year from April to June to very decent ratings.

But while the original series showed the girls in their daily lives as idols, the spin-off series is all about what the girls do when they are off the stage. This is when they can show off who they really are in cute and beautiful ways and in many different settings like when they're simply lounging at home or are busying themselves with band practice.

There may even be another beach episode or two.

What unique sides will the girls be revealing next as they take on new challenges outside of the stage that will either bond them much closer together or perhaps maybe even break them apart?

In addition to the upcoming new season, there will reportedly be a "Talk & Live" exhibition. However, details about this special event haven't been disclosed yet. Fans should stay tuned on the series' official site for further announcements.

Furthermore, there is also no official statement yet about how many episodes this particular season will have and what topics and themes it will be featured regarding the lives of the girls.

Each episode will still be five minutes long just like the previous ones.

"Cinderella Girls Gekijou" season 2 premieres on Tuesday, Oct. 3, at 9:54 p.m. JST on Tokyo MX. It will also be aired on BS11 on the same day at 9:55 p.m. JST, as well as on Sagatete at late night 2:10 p.m. JST. Information on other broadcast schedules and online resources will be revealed at a later date.
