'Civilization 6' Release Date and Features: System Requirements Revealed; 25th Anniversary Edition to Come with Additional Surprises
The release of the much anticipated 4K video game "Civilization 6" is less than a month away. With this, the game's publisher just revealed the system specs required to enjoy the game to the fullest.

2K Games, the publisher of the hit video game "Civilization 6" had just released the official system requirements and specifications necessary to run the game. It is especially noteworthy that the included specs are nowhere near the highest end technologies, meaning that the computer setup need not be expensive to actually enjoy "Civilization 6."

Minimum Requirements
First listed are the minimum system requirements for the "Civilization 6." The roll begins by listing the Operating System, specifying either a Windows 7, 8.1, or 10 OS with a 64-bit architecture. The processor is also at a minimum Intel Core i3 clocked at 2.5 GHz or an AMD Phenom II with a 2.6 GHz clock speed. For the memory, the device must have at least 4GB of RAM and 12GB of free internal storage.
Those who would be installing the game from a disc would obviously need a DVD Rom. There also needs to be a 1GB Direct X 11 video card, as well as a minimum of the Nvidia GeForce 450 or the AMD 5570.
Recommended Requirements
While the device can still run "Civilization 6" at the mentioned minimum requirements above, certain upgrades are necessary to enjoy the game at its full settings. The same 64-bit Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 are still the recommended operating system. However, the processor is now upgraded to at least a fourth generation Intel Core i5 clocked at 2.5 GHz or an AMD FX8350 with a 4.0 GHz clock speed.
The memory also now requires at least 8GB of RAM and more than 12GB of free hard drive storage. There is also now a 2GB demand for the video card with Direct X 11, with either the AMD 7970, Nvidia 770, or higher. Also, for the initial installment of "Civilization 6," an internet connection is required for the game's Steam authentication.
The software of "Civilization 6" itself has other requirements. Whether the device is running the minimum or recommended settings, installations for the Microsoft Visual C++ 2012, Steam Client, Microsoft DirectX, and 2015 Runtime Libraries are required.
25th Anniversary Edition and Release Details
2K Games had also reportedly announced to be releasing a "Civilization 6" 25th Anniversary Edition. This would be a limited release with only 20,000 copies. It will cost $90, and will include the main game, a digital deluxe edition content, and the Aztec civ preorder bonus. This package will also feature a coin set, a display case, and a 100-page hardcover art book. It will be packaged on a special themed box for the anniversary commemoration.
"Civilization 6" will be officially launched on October 21. It will be available for PC, running on Windows, OS X, and Linux, although system requirements for the latter two are yet to be revealed.
