'Clash of Clans' DLC Update Release Date: Arriving This Christmas for Gamers?
Rumors have emerged the long-awaited "Clash of Clans" update is set to arrive during the Christmas season.
Bringing with it new features and improvements as well as a host of changes, Finnish game developer Supercell's popular freemium mobile MMO video game's update is said to be launching in time for Christmas.
Supercell initially confirmed the upcoming DLC during the first "Clash of Clans" ClashCon held in Finland last month, spurring on speculations and rumors of the update's content since the announcement was made.
Earlier on, a special Halloween update was released, allowing players to enjoy all new obstacles and a host of rewards. The Halloween DLC was followed by a maintenance break Wednesday and Thursday last week, which removed the MMO game's Frozen Live Replays and one-gem boosts.
The COC community is currently expecting the arrival of the Christmas update that's said to be arriving within a few weeks and is rumored to introduce the Town Hall 11 upgrade beginning December of this year.
Apart from the Town Hall 11 upgrade, the DLC will also include new features as well as gameplay improvements that include a much larger map providing players with a bigger environment to move around in.
A Third Hero is likewise rumored to be joining the ranks of the Barbarian King and Archer Queen. The Hero is said to be a mage-like character whose weapons include a staff.
There are also speculations the game's defense and offense units and buildings will bring in new features, including higher HP and more damage capabilities for Level 8 Barbarian soldiers.
There has also been a possibility broached over the loot sharing capabilities that will come with the update, giving COC players the ability to donate some of their loot to a clan member or a player of their choosing.
While Supercell has yet to confirm the update's release date or the new content it is expected to bring, one of its staff members has reassured COC players the developer is currently working hard on the update.
