'Clash of Clans' Update: Supercell Announces New Game
In what could be a spin-off for "Clash of Clans," Supercell has released a new game that is expected to be a hit just as the first mobile game that proved to be a massive success.
On Monday, Supercell released a game that cannot be compared to "Clash of Clans" since the team working on the new game is different from the people who are currently working on the updates for "CoC."
Called "Clash Royale," the new sensation is a card collection and duel game that is set in the Clash Universe that fans very well know. According to the website, players can "Collect and upgrade dozens of cards featuring Clash of Clans troops, spells and defenses you know and love."
Some fans have dubbed the new title "CoC 2," but as mentioned, it cannot be called a sequel of the first installment since it would be difficult for an entirely new team to work on a title that it wasn't really familiar with in the first place.
It wasn't confirmed which characters from "CoC" will appear in the new game or if some new characters who will be introduced in "Clash Royale" will probably be included in an update for "Clash of Clans." On the other hand, there is a possibility that the same characters will be seen in either of the two games in the near future.
Since "Clash Royale" is about cards, players will need to build and upgrade card collections, as well as create what Supercell calls the "Battle Deck," which is the ultimate collection that will be used to take down opponents.
Just like "CoC," players can, of course, build their own clans and share cards within the clan. A battle community can also be formed that will further strengthen one's domain. Players can also challenge clan-mates and others in a "private" match.
Finally, progress will be achieved through multiple arenas in the game. The player's collections, wins, gained Crown chests, and power will determine how much progress has been made.
"Clash Royale" is available for iOS in select areas including Canada, Hong Kong, Denmark, and New Zealand.
