Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Trade Rumors: Larry Sanders in Serious Discussions With Cavaliers
The Cleveland Cavaliers did quite well in the buyout market this season. By signing Deron Williams and Andrew Bogut, the team managed to address their depth problems at point guard and center without giving up any key players. However, Bogut went down with a leg injury less than a minute into his first game with the team last week.
With Bogut out for the rest of the season, the Cavaliers will have to look for another backup rim protector. Well, it seems the team has turned their attention to a center who is trying to make a comeback in the league.
The Vertical's Shams Charania has reported that the Cavaliers are in serious talks with former Milwaukee Bucks center Larry Sanders and the team could sign him as soon as Monday when they return from their three-game road trip.

Sanders was a head case during his time with the Bucks, but LeBron James thinks that he deserves a second chance to play in the league.
"It looks like he wants another opportunity, and hopefully, if we're the team, hopefully we give him an opportunity. Why not? Everyone deserves a second chance, and it looks like he wants to get back to playing the game he loves, and hopefully this is his destination. You don't know how much you can get out of a guy that's been out so long, but I'd love to see it. Why not?" James said prior to Saturday's shootaround, according to ESPN.
A number of observers believe that signing Sanders is a terrible idea, but he's definitely an interesting option for the Cavaliers. Let's not forget that he was one of the best shot blockers in the league during the 2012–2013 season (2.8 blocks per game). If he can keep his head in the game, Sanders should improve the team's interior defense. He's probably the best rim protector in the free agent market right now.
