Cleveland Cavaliers News 2015: Irving, Shumpert Back In Training From Injury Layoffs, James Named Most 'Clutch' Player Of The Season

Cleveland Cavaliers guards Kyrie Irving and Iman Shumpert returned to practice after being sidelined due to injuries, while LeBron James has been named as the team's most "clutch" player for the 2015-2016 season, so far.

Shumpert suffered an injury on his right wrist, which he had surgery on in September. Irving, on the other hand, is currently recovering from the fractured left knee cap he sustained in June.

In a report by Chris Haynes for Cleveland.com, both players are now back in practice since Monday, to the delight of head coach David Blatt.

"We had a moderated practice that we were able to get them to take part in a good piece of it. Day-to-day, making a little bit more progress," Blatt said.

The report adds that while both players have joined their teammates back in training, Blatt is unsure if they will be able to play in the team's Christmas game against the undefeated defending champion Golden State Warriors.

"I really can't say," says Blatt. "Every day I'm watching them and they're making progress. We're being very conscious and conscientious about keeping them within their limits and not rushing them back."

"But they are both working hard and well and they are making progress," he added. "Exactly when they're going to return, I just can't say because I don't know. Not yet."

Meanwhile, four-time MVP awardee and two-time NBA champion LeBron James has been named the team's most clutch player for the current season, so far.

In another report by Joe Vardon for Cleveland.com, "King James" has been putting up significant numbers, particularly when the team needs it the most.

He currently leads the league with 15 points in the final minute of games when the difference in score is within three points. The report adds that James is fourth in the league in fourth quarter points (7.8 points), where he is shooting at 48 percent.
