Cleveland Cavaliers Trade Rumors: Exchange Kevin Love for Carmelo Anthony?
An all-new NBA season is kicking off soon, which means the basketball teams must set their players already in preparation for the upcoming games. Along with the finalizing process are the trade speculations that have been piling up all around off-court, and one particular rumor that has been picked up by many is the possible trade of Cleveland Cavaliers' Kevin Love for Carmelo Anthony from the New York Knicks.
According to a report by Australia Network, the Cavs are reportedly eyeing Anthony to be part of their team and might possibly barter their power forward, Love, to the New York Knicks in order to complete the trade. It also seems that there is little chance or none at all that the Knicks will ignore such an offer by the Cavs, as it would mean that they will be getting a young aggressive power forward.
However, the source says that perhaps the team would rather keep their ageing champ in the team. After all, Anthony is without a doubt a more experienced basketball player considering his credentials like his triple Olympic appearances.
But it doesn't make Love any less covetable as a team player. NBA Innovative Coverage stated in their website that the 27-year old athlete would be an excellent core player to have. He would be a great addition to the team as he is a skilled passing big man who is able to shoot from the perimeter and get rebounds.
Sources went on to say that the Knicks is planning to plunge into a rebuilding mode and they are on the lookout for players like Jaon Rondo, Marc Gasol, Goran Drgaic and Reggie Jackson. But if Anthony were to be traded, he will be bringing the Cavs another scorer on the team. A shift to the Cavs may even help boost Carmelo's legacy by winning. But as of the moment, this trade report still remains a rumor.
