Cleveland Cavaliers vs Detroit Pistons live stream, start time: Watch NBA Playoffs online
The top team meets the eighth seed.
In the Eastern Conference, the Cleveland Cavaliers begin the first round of the playoffs by hosting the Detroit Pistons in the National Basketball Association.
The matchup is on April 17, 2016 at 3:00 PM ET.
This is an interesting battle between the top seed in the Cavaliers playing a young eighth seed looking for recognition in the league.
For Cleveland, the task is simple; they want to go back to the NBA Finals like they did last year and bring the city their first NBA championship in history.
With LeBron James, the team is still one of the strongest in the league and they have all the weapons to make a deep run in the playoffs where they can hopefully reach the Finals and beat the Western Conference counterparts.
The Cavaliers finished the season with a 57-25 record that secured the top spot in the East and they will continue their winning recipe of using James as their main focus on the offensive end.
Proving that he is one of the most versatile players in the league, James has the capacity to dominate the scoring, but he can also be a great facilitator as he finds open teammates for shots.
And that will prove to be a tough task for the young core of the Pistons who are hoping that they continue their growth and eventually be one of the better teams in the league.
Only securing their playoff spot near the end of the season, there is much to look forward to for Pistons fans as they finished 44-38 to clinch the eighth seed.
In addition, they have a solid young core of players led by Reggie Jackson and Andre Drummond who are not afraid of taking the leadership roles for the squad.
At the very least, the Pistons want to make things hard for the Cavaliers in the series, and hopefully grab a few wins early that can set up a possible upset.
