Clients Call Out Switch's Flawed Design; Nintendo Recalling TV Dock?

Nintendo has recently been getting negative feedback from clients who purchased its new phablet console, the Switch. Many of the complaints reportedly state that the device is flawed and in need of a major revamp.

According to Gizmodo, the problem with the Switch lies in its design. Those who shelled out $300 to buy the console can only shake their heads and look for ways to get something out of their investment.

Customers who did not want to order the $30 official stand from Nintendo are faced with a huge problem. The Switch's kickstand is said to be flimsy and awkwardly placed. It blocks the charging port, which can be found at the bottom of the console, thus it makes charging impossible if the device is propped up. Some also lament that the Joy-Con is too small and cannot be grasped properly. The lack of a d-pad is likewise a source of frustration.

Another major concern with regards to the console's design is the TV dock. Nintendo had earlier expressed its excitement over the introduction of the item, which promises a seamless blending of Switch into a home entertainment setup. Those who purchased the dock have reportedly voiced out their trepidation of using it, as it could end up scratching the console's plastic screen.

Meanwhile, news that the Japanese company could be recalling the standalone TV docks have surfaced after the items disappeared on the company's online store. According to Forbes, the entire product page has been completely erased. However, Nintendo has reportedly reached out to the website to explain the confusion. According to the statement that was released, the $90 item is currently out of stock due to the high demand.

"The Nintendo Switch standalone dock is currently out of stock on the Nintendo.com store. Demand was higher than anticipated but the product will go back on sale once we receive more units. All new Nintendo Switch systems continue to include a dock in the retail package. These stand-alone docks are mainly for people who want multiple docks in their homes," the statement reads.
